It has been fabricated using the JBD’s proprietary hybridization technology, which bonds the LED epiwafer (InGaN on sapphire for blue and green, AlGaInP on GaAs for red) with the silicon IC backplane to obtain monolithic chips. Its IC backplane allows the display chip to operate at low power consumption mode for static images or images that change slowly and also it doesn’t require any extra bridge ICs, and its display data can be transferred directly from customers’ application system over SPI/QSPI interface.
