Polinox registered an increase of 8% in its volume produced in 2017. The result, said Roberto Pontifex, director, embodies two main analyzes: the Brazilian crisis, at last, is over and Polinox has consolidated its presence in other South American countries.
“We were expecting a growth of at most 5%, especially since we had two very difficult years. The result was not so superior in comparison with the previous period, but already shows that the scenario is different.”
Another sign of this change, noted Pontifex, was the 4% increase in business involving the release waxes produced by Polinox. “Almost all sales of our waxes take place via distributors. So, this increase means that the small composite manufacturer had more buying power.”
Regarding exports, for the third consecutive year sales to the countries of South America accounted for 20% of Polinox's revenues. “Business is no longer punctual and represents a significant share of our revenue.” Throughout 2017, Polinox intensified the search for opportunities in Peru and started exports to Ecuador. “In the other countries we maintained a participation in line with last year.”
