Toray Advanced Composites has appointed Dr. Jan Nowacki as its Managing Director, Europe, effective July 6,2026. Dr. Nowacki succeeds David Bernard, who is retiring after a distinguished 40-year career in the advanced composite materials industry.
Dr. Nowacki joins Toray Advanced Composites with over two decades of experience in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. He has led complex manufacturing operations and global supply chains, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence, business growth, and innovation. Jan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern and a PhD in Composite Materials from the Institut fur Verbundwerkstoffe – Kaiserslautern.
Dr. Nowacki's appointment follows the recent addition of Guillaume Coustaud as Commercial Director for Europe, further strengthening Toray Advanced Composites' leadership team and reinforcing the company's commitment to supporting customers, accelerating innovation, and expanding its presence across Europe.
