The global demand for SMC increased by ~7% in Q1 2021 compared to Q4 2020, mainly driven by the increased light vehicle sales which increased by 11.6% in Q1 2021 compared to Q4 2020. SMC demand in Q4 2020 registered growth compared to Q3 2020. Growing automotive production and construction activities helped the demand for SMC to rebound.
