Winner Names Declared for SMC BMC Design Award 2026 “Live Better, Live Green”

The European Alliance for SMC BMC, an industry association of European companies involved in SMC and BMC technology, promoting the benefits of SMC BMC composite solutions, has declared the winners of the 5th edition of the SMC BMC Design Award. The theme of this edition was “Live Better, Live Green - SMC solutions for improving Quality of Life”. Lucia Bonmati and Bernat Rucabado from Elisava in Barcelona, Spain, received the Gold Award for their winning Hedera design during the award ceremony at JEC World 2026. Barbara Quelhas and Zohar Saar from ESAD Oporto, Portugal, received the Bronze Award for their GROWi aeroponics systems. These systems enable growing vegetables and plants, requiring less water compared to traditional agriculture, while potentially eliminating the need for soil, pesticides, and excessive fertilizers.
