Toray Introduces Preceramic Resin System

Published : June 12, 2026

Toray Advanced Composites apprised of the addition of its preceramic thermoset resin system to its extensive portfolio at Booth L8, the SAMPE 2026 Conference in Seattle, Washington.

The new ultra high-temperature Polysiloxane-based preceramic resin system, TC1810, is considered one of the highest temperature thermoset resins with prepreg exclusively offered by Toray Advanced Composites. TC1810 has varying cure profiles, initially starting as low as 225°C (437°F) and pushing the limits with an operating temperature range of 260° C to 1000° C (500° F to 1832° F), with little to no weight loss. TC1810 is also co-curable and offers various reinforcement options for applications ranging from battery containment to thermal protection systems (TPS), heat shields, leading edges, and hypersonic components for industries including aerospace, defense, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and space launch.
