Toray Advanced Composites Declares New Executive Leadership

Toray Advanced Composites formally declared a key leadership transition, with Scott Unger as the new Global CEO and Steve Cease as the new Managing Director, USA, and Global CTO, effective this spring. Mr. Unger has over thirty years of experience at the senior level in the composites industry. Mr. Unger will succeed Toshiyuki Kondo after previously operating as the division’s Managing Director and Global Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Kondo, in turn, will transition into a new executive leadership role within the Toray Group, at Zoltek. In addition to his extensive thermoset background, Steve is a recognized champion for the growth of thermoplastic composites. In 2020, Mr. Cease joined Toray Advanced Composites (formerly TenCate) as the VP of Technology and Strategic Marketing.
