The sister ship of the renowned passenger ferry Vision of the Fjords takes sustainability one step further. A catamaran that runs entirely on batteries, Future of the Fjords offers sightseeing in the beautiful fjords of Norway with a minimum of environmental impact. Brodrene Aa will deliver the full-electric tourist boat in the first half of 2018.
To be able to charge Future of the Fjords in an efficient way, Brodrene Aa had to invent an entirely new way to re-charge the batteries. They came up with the idea of building a battery pack into a floating dock. Brodrene Aa is currently designing the dock in glass-fiber composite including Divinycell core material.
