LORD Corporation, a global diversified technology and manufacturing company, has achieved $1 billion in sales. “Becoming a $1 billion company is a significant milestone for LORD. We appreciate the collaborative relationships we have with our customers and partners – relationships that have enabled us to achieve new heights,” said Ed Auslander, President and CEO, LORD Corporation.
Last year was particularly special for LORD Corporation, shared Auslander, due to the contract it signed with Boeing – LORD’s biggest in company history. “We also celebrated growth across the globe, including an $80 million investment to expand our Saegertown, Pa., USA facility and the opening of a $12 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pont de l'Isere, France.”
Founded in 1924, LORD Corporation currently employs more than 3,000 people and has operations in 26 countries. LORD’s Brazil plant is located in Jundiai (Sao Paulo), and produces structural adhesives and high-performance coatings in. According to Helvio Manke, General Manager of LORD in South America, the $1 billion milestone not only affirms the company’s achievements and position in the marketplace, but is also a sign of its willingness to continue investing in both structure and the development of new products and technologies.
