Leadership Transition in Teijin Automotive Technologies

At the beginning of Fiscal Year 2022, Teijin Limited and Teijin Automotive Technologies will undergo a series of leadership transitions. Effective April 1, 2022, Teijin Limited will name Akimoto Uchikawa as its new president and chief executive officer, replacing Jun Suzuki who will remain with the company as chairman of the board.
Steve Rooney, who today serves as CEO of Teijin Automotive Technologies and general manager of the Composites Business Unit (CBU), will be retiring from the organization effective March 31, 2023. To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Chris Twining has been promoted from chief operating officer, Teijin Automotive Technologies, to president of Teijin Automotive Technologies North America, and chief operating officer of the CBU, effective April 1, 2022. Twining will continue report to Rooney, who will maintain his current roles until his retirement next year.
