The Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE) North America, declared the finalists of the Young Professionals Emerging Leadership Award (YPELA). Due to the cancellation of SAMPE 2020 in Seattle, WA, the award finalists will be recognized via an online awards ceremony in early November and will be formally recognized at SAMPE 2021 in Long Beach, CA, where the finalists for both 2020 and 2021 will be recognized during an in-person event to be notified at a later date.

The finalists are:

• Ms. Melissa Jaime (Vertellus Plastics Technologist West Milford, NJ, SAMPE – New Jersey)

• Prof. Bo Jin (University of Southern California, M.C. Gill Composites Center, Director, Assistant Professor, Research Scientist, Los Angeles, CA, SAMPE – Los Angeles)
