JEC Composites Industry 2020 Program Released January 20 2020

2020 Lucintel Composites Market Insights, January 20, 2020

JEC World, the international composites trade show, has released the JEC Composites Industry Programs, a range of conferences and discussion groups bringing together the decision-makers from the end-user industries from around the world. This year, the sessions will focus on the automotive, aerospace, and sports and health industries, and cover all issues relating to composites in these strategic sectors.

Large international companies like ArianeGroup, GE Aviation, Embraer, VoltAero, Ford Motor Company, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, Porsche, Volkswagen, Corima, Look Cycle and Ossur will be presenting their solutions.

Over the course of JEC World, each day will be devoted to a specific industry and its use of composites:

• On March 3, talks will focus on aerospace and center on the theme: ‘Towards a more sustainable strategy’. The topics of aircraft weight reduction, recyclability of materials in the composites industry, and waste reduction will be addressed. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 4:35pm to 6:00pm and will be moderated by Sarah Cruddas, Space journalist, with Hervee Gilibert, CTO of ArianeGroup as keynote speaker.

• On March 4, discussions will give prominence to the automotive industry with the following central theme - ‘The right material in the right place’. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 2:35pm to 4:00pm and will be moderated by Dale Brosius, CCO of IACMI with Alan Banks, UK Innovations Supervisor at Ford Motor Company as keynote speaker.

• Lastly, on March 5, the sports and health industries will be in the spotlight with the theme ‘The Composites Trifecta: Design Flexibility, Performance, and Comfort’. The issues of ratios between weight, lightness and safety, rigidity optimization, and athletes’ individual needs for tailor-made solutions will be examined in particular. This session will take place on the Agora stage from 2:00pm to 3:30pm and will be moderated by Max Thouin, Sales Development Manager of Hexcel with Steephane Houdet, handisport tennis player as keynote speaker.
