Tecniplas is once again part of Fispal Tecnologia, the main food and beverage fair in Latin America – from June 25 to 28, at the Sao Paulo Expo, Brazil. Specialized in the manufacture of FRP tanks and special equipment, the company will highlight in the event the adequacy of its reservoirs to Consolidation Ordinance Nº 05, which ensures the safety of materials that come into contact with drinking water.“Tecniplas has a safety report of the resins used in the manufacture of FRP tanks, as required by the Ordinance. This enables us to provide reservoirs for the storage of not only drinking water, but also any kind of raw material consumed by the food and beverage industry,” explains Luís Gustavo Rossi, director of Tecniplas."With the same dimensions and technical features, reinforced plastic tanks can cost up to 35% less than stainless steel. Not to mention that they are monolithic. This means that there are no soldering points, areas usually subject to leaks.”In the case of vitrified steel tanks – consist of hundreds of bolted and rubber-coated panels –, the comparison is even more favorable for FRP.
