KraussMaffei Supplies Efficient Extrusion Technologies for the New Purecycle Recycling Process

September 22 2021

The listed company PureCycle Technologies is starting a multi-million dollar recycling project in the USA.
PureCycle uses an innovative process to convert carpet scraps made of PP composite material into high-purity PP granules, which can no longer be distinguished from new goods. KraussMaffei Extrusion from Hanover is supplying several extruders for the plant, which is currently being built in Ohio and is due to start operating on a large scale in 2022. The competence and support of KraussMaffei in particular were decisive for the award of the contract.

PureCycle uses a technology licensed from Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) to process PP waste into high-purity PP recyclate for various applications in the consumer goods, automotive, construction, and industrial sectors.
