German-Austrian Joint Venture for 86.1MW Wind Farms Featuring the World's Biggest Turbine

German project developer juwi has formed a joint venture with Austria’s Verbund AG.
for wind farms in Rhineland-Palatinate, which includes projects in Ellern, Seibersbach, Dorrebach and Dichtelbach (in the Hunsruck) and in Stetten. Commissioning of the 21 turbine wind farm portfolio (totaling 86.1MW) will take place from the end of 2012 to mid-2013. Overall 21 wind turbines, including five 7.5MW Enercon E-126, will be brought online.The E-126 is the most powerful turbine currently available in the international wind energy market. One of the 7.5MW units can supply around 5000 households with electricity, notes juwi.
