Fortron PPS from Ticona Selected as Base Material for New Multifilament Yarns from Performance Fibers

High temperature and chemically resistant Fortron polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) from Ticona Engineering Polymers is being used in new multifilament yarns from Performance Fibers, a leading global supplier of industrial fibers and fabrics. “Ticona, a leader in the development of engineering polymer resins for use in technical textiles, and Performance Fibers worked for two years to develop these new multifilament yarns,” said Martin Brueck, account development manager, Ticona. “Fortron PPS offers superior performance in technical fiber applications across major industries around the world.” The Performance Fibers PPS multifilament product line is designed to deliver outstanding results for mechanical rubber goods, aerospace, filtration, automotive, safety apparel and technical textile applications.
