CPA and Purcom Launch Vegetal Polyurethane Resin for Composites at Feiplar
November 05 2018

PUGreen business card is a vegetable polyurethane resin whose characteristics meet the main demands of the composites sector, such as lightness, strength, quality of finish and sustainability. This PUGreen business card will be presented to the market by CPA and Purcom during Feiplar Composites from November 06 to 08/11 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The formulation of PUGreen, details Paulo Macaubas, responsible for the area of development of new business and products of the CPA, is based on a blend of various vegetable oils.
In parallel with the ecological appeal, PUGreen offers other benefits when compared to the resins used to mold composites. These include the higher polyurethane elongation and higher abrasion resistance rates, coupled with good balance of traction and impact properties. Also notable for the low exothermic peak, which results in practically no contraction and, therefore, better surface finish.
Purcom will be responsible for the manufacturing of the novelty, together with the CPA – the commercialization, in turn, will be made by the systems house. At their booth at Feiplar, as well as at CPA’s, visitors will be able to check QuickFloor, the first product molded with PUGreen. QuickFloor is a practical, clean and sustainable solution that contributes to the waterproofing of the area, since the boards manufactured with PUGreen are impermeable and molded in a single piece.
