Composite Scandinavia to Stop Production of LPG Cylinders in Sweden

march 13 2012

Hexagon Composites' subsidiary Composite Scandinavia AB is reportedly thinking to discontinue production of composite LPG cylinders in Pitea, Sweden. Composite Scandinavia is initiating a process with the employee representatives to discuss this.

Hexagon says that due to weaker market for liquid petroleum gas (LPG) storage cylinders and available capacity at its subsidiary Ragasco in Norway, it aims to concentrate the production of the composite LPG cylinders in one factory. Composite Scandinavia will remain as a company managing the licences, service and support.
