ARCA's Composite Cars on Track at Daytona

January 23 2017

ARCA's Five Star Composite Body was again turning laps at Daytona International Speedway.
The composite test came under the watchful eyes of the ARCA Competition department, which was already in Daytona to administer the two-day open test.

“We ran a variety of configurations over the four hour test with the Five Star Composite Body and ARCA Ilmor 396 package," said ARCA's Director of Competition and Race Technology Grayling Call.

While all the ARCA cars on track at Daytona and Talladega in 2017 will be steel-bodied, the opposite is true for the 2018 season during which all the cars racing at Daytona and Talladega will be composites.
