Dorf Ketal Chemicals (India) Pvt Ltd acquires Specialty Catalysts Business from DuPont

Dorf Ketal Chemicals (India) Pvt Ltd headquartered in Mumbai, a global player in process chemicals, and additives for refineries, petrochemicals, fuels, plastics, lubricants and oilfield industries has recently acquired the Specialty Catalysts Business of DuPont Chemicals and Fluoroproducts through a new LLC company in the USA. The Company Dorf Ketal will acquire assets associated with the Specialty Catalysts Business including sales, marketing and customer service. Dorf Ketal had earlier completed the acquisition of Intec Polymers.

This acquisition includes Tyzor titanates & zirconates and Avitex hydrocarbon surfactants and antistatic agents used in a broad range of specialty markets and applications. The products have diverse applications in industries spanning across Oil & Gas, Paints & Coatings, Printing Inks, Industrial Sealants, Corrosion Protection & Emission Reduction.

Dupont will assist Dorf Ketal with technology transfer and start up facility. It will also supply Specialty Catalyst products to Dorf Ketal for approximately one year under service and supply agreements. This acquisition will strengthen Dorf Ketal Chemicals’ position as a global leader in specialty chemicals business.
