With more than 15 years of consulting and market research experience, Dr. Sanjay
Mazumdar has led Lucintel in diverse projects such as strategic growth consulting

instrumental in leading and executing hundreds of projects for OEMs, Tier 1s, Tier

Gary Kabot (Partner)
Gary Kabot has more than thirty-five years of diversified business experience, the
past 27 of which have been devoted to acquisitions, start-ups and management consulting.
Mr. Kabot has acquired or started approximately 40 entities in various industries,
the largest achieving an annual revenue rate of $300 million within 18 months of
start-up. His consulting services included management consulting and strategic planning
to small to multi-national companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financings,
and recapitalizations. Mr. Kabot also served as a consultant with Arthur Young &
Company (predecessor to Ernst & Young) and as a Partner with Gordian Consultants,
a spin-off from McKinsey and Company. Mr. Kabot received his MBA from the Harvard
Business School and his BS in Accounting from Cornell University.
Alan Clark, VP - Sales
With over 30 years work experience in manufacturing covering senior sales and commercial
roles he has successfully negotiated many major contracts throughout the world.
Prior to Lucintel, Alan worked for many leading Aerospace companies including BAE
Systems, Goodrich, Meggitt, Doncasters and PCC (AETC) covering complex systems,
supply chain solutions, component and process sales. Alan has been responsible for
developing and implementing innovative Market Strategies leading to substantial

Laith Alshebel, Vice President, Business Development, Middle East
Laith Alshebel is the VP of Business Development for Lucintel’s Middle East and
North African region. He provides market entry strategies, feasibility studies,
M & A support, opportunity screenings and market research services to companies
in these areas.
Mr. Alshebel has 20 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing,
and strategic planning. He is a petrochemical and polymer expert and has worked
for SABIC, Aramco and the National Industrial Clusters Program in various capacities,
from sales director to VP.
His career started as a Banker with SAMBA and then he joined SABIC Marketing in
1990. In 1994, he was appointed as Sales Director based in Hong Kong. In 2000, he
joined the Saudi Aramco Crude Oil Sales & Marketing Department. In 2008, he was
appointed as the VP of Plastic Processing Cluster within NICDP and in 2011, he joined
Zamil ChemPlast as VP of Business Development.
Laith Alshebel has a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Management from King Fahd University
of Petroleum and Minerals (1986).
S. Sundaram, Vice President, Business Development & Marketing
S. Sundaram has more than 30 years global experience in the field of Polymeric Composites
in Sales/Marketing, Technical Services, Design, R&D, Business Development, Marketing
Communications and Project Management.
His career span includes two decades with the glass fiber manufacturing industry
in Asia Pacific including Saint Gobain Vetrotex India as VP (Marketing & Development)
and 12 years with a North American boron-free glass fiber manufacturer in Technology,
Business Development and Projects (as VP) that included extensive market promotion
of ECR glass fiber in niche applications such as sewer pipes, insulator rods, automotive
silencer infill, high temperature resistant thermal fabrics and corrosion resistant
multi-axial knitted fabrics for the chemical and marine sectors.
Sundaram has a Master’s degree in High Polymer Engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology (IIT), India.
He has been extensively involved in Marketing Communications in Composites on a
global basis and has been a regular contributor of techno-commercial features in
leading trade magazines such as Reinforced Plastics (UK), Composites Fabrication
(U.S.), Composites Technology (U.S.), International Fiber Journal (U.S.), Gulf Construction
(Middle East), FRP Today (India).
Sundaram has 11 Patents in the field of Glass Fibers and Composites related to new
products and applications that have been commercialized.
Brad Schiller, VP Consulting
Brad Schiller is a seasoned strategy and operations consultant having spent 5 years
at McKinsey, 2 years as an independent consultant, and has recently joined the Lucintel
team. At McKinsey, he was an Engagement Manager where he led the day to day operations
of client projects across a variety of business functions and industries. As an
independent consultant, he worked with portfolio companies of private equity firms
to increase profitability through identification and implementation of revenue enhancements
and cost cutting opportunities. He also worked with early stage startups to develop
market analysis, financial models, and business plans to raise venture capital.
He has extensive experience in market analysis, strategy, business plan development,
pricing, financial modeling, turn around, and operational performance improvement.
He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Management Science from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
James Davidson, Ph.D., Director
Dr. Davidson is an experienced Consultant specializing in advanced materials. His
background includes all phases of composites technology, business and manufacturing
in the commercial, industrial, utility, power, building, construction, oil-field,
aerospace, military and electronics industries. He has a successful track record
of pressing forward with startup operations as well as ongoing lean manufacturing
improvements for emerging and expanding markets while reducing manufacturing costs.
Dr. Davidson background includes several years with Ameron International developing
and testing FRP poles and pipes. Dr. Davidson also set up and ran composites companies
in the aerospace sector and served as Vice President of composite material and product
R&D at HITCO Composites and Vice President and General Manager of CIBA Composites.
Dr. Davidson worked for Shakespeare Composite Structures as Senior Vice President
of Technology. He is an authority on composite materials and processes, coatings,
durability and weathering.
Dr. Davidson has provided consulting services to a wide range of companies such
as EDM International, PowerTrusion, Baker Hughes, NOV Fiber Glass Systems, Whatley/Valmont
and others. He has been actively involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers
(ASCE) where he served as chairman of the ASCE task committee on “Fiber-Reinforced
Composite Structures for Overhead Lines”. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of the
American Composite Manufacturers Association (ACMA) Working Group on FRP utility
structures. Dr. Davidson has B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering Structures,
Mechanics and Materials from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Charlie Kazmierski, Program Manager, Lucintel
Charlie is Program Manager for Lucintel with 20 years of diverse experience in market
, value based management, voice of the customer, value
chain analysis, and market structure analysis. Former marketing research professional
with Dow Chemical, encompassing a succession of increasingly responsible positions
in market research and business intelligence, including business unit research analyst,
research manager for business analysis team, subject matter expert in marketing
research expertise center, and internal business/ marketing consultant.
Nigel O’Dea, Business Development Manager, Lucintel
Nigel is an industrial marketing specialist with extensive engineering plastics
& composites with international sales & marketing management roles for major
MNC’s such as DSM Engineering Plastics, GE Plastics and Scott Bader Ltd. He has
a proven track record of doing business with OEM customers, export agents and distributor
partners. Graduate of Brunel University, with a B. Sc. (hons.) degree in Materials
Science & Management and a postgraduate Marketing Diploma from The Chartered
Institute of Marketing (CIM), of which he is also a member.
Peter Ying (Director, Semiconductor Industry)
Peter is a high tech business consultant with 22 years work experience in the semiconductor
technology development, manufacturing strategy and business management. As an industry
leader, in 3C business model, technical marketing, global competition, and semiconductor
manufacturing, Peter constantly consults business development and investment strategy
for Wall Street and Fortune 500 companies. Peter is skillful in the valuation, market
research, business strategy and product development of semiconductor companies.
Served as a senior technology development manager in Texas Instruments and COO of
Helix Micro Semiconductor International Company, Peter was responsible for business
and technology valuation, setting and executing $2 billion wafer suppliers strategy
among hundreds global suppliers partners in Asia, Europe and North America. Peter
received EMBA degree from UT Austin's McComb Business School (2000) and PhD in Engineering
from University of Cincinnati (1985).
