Vestas has received another two orders with a total capacity of 100 MW to be delivered to two wind power projects in China. Delivery of the turbines for both projects is planned for the third quarter of 2009. At the customer’s request, details about the projects’ ownership, locations, etc. cannot be disclosed. Both orders comprise supply of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, and a two-year maintenance and service agreement.
”Again in 2008, the Chinese wind energy market has been very strong. We are pleased to see that also entering into the New Year, the market continues to show its strength and commitment to renewable energy, and we are proud to be part of this development,” says Vestas China Managing Director Lars Andersen, and concludes: “As of June 30, 2008, Vestas has delivered more than 1,000 turbines to China, and we continue to have high expectations for the growing Chinese market.”
