Lucintel is growing and needs a sales professional that can develop relationships, provide value to our customers and close deals.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and close on sales pipeline, generating revenue from market research reports, consulting services and special events with new prospects and existing accounts
  • Develop customer leads through internet searches, leveraging existing client contacts and effective networking at conferences
  • Identify consulting opportunities during client/sales interactions and write and pitch effective customized consulting proposals
  • Consult with Senior and C-level executives and identify business issues. Build excellent client relationships offering value-added, insightful and strategic input to their business
  • Perform PR & Marketing activities to promote new and existing products and services

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of proven consultative or technical sales experience
  • A positive attitude and desire to win
  • Strong sales acumen with a highly organized focus on results
  • Ability to understand customer issues and to scope and structure consulting projects
  • Ability to grasp and understand technical issues from a sales standpoint
  • Excellent communicator who is able to articulate the value proposition of Lucintel in writing, on the phone and to an audience
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Calendars/Schedules, Web-Search
  • Preference will be given to candidates with sales experience in consulting / market research firms (Ex. Frost & Sullivan, Gartner, Forrester, strategic consulting firms, technical sales).
  • Preferred background is proven sales experience with technical Bachelor's Degree. Business or Marketing backgrounds with experience in technical fields will also be considered.

  • Perform analyses and develop client deliverables appropriate to the specific consulting engagement.
  • Depending on project size, supervise other personnel, assign work, establish and maintain schedules.
  • Identify sales opportunities and leads, which may come from meetings, clients, other consultants, sales force, vendors and others.
  • Assist in writing and presenting proposals to prospective clients.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and publish quantitative research.
  • Familiarity with basic primary & secondary research tools, methods and processes and basic questionnaire development.
  • Ability to design & implement effective vendor primary research plan – qualitative data (about offerings, competition, markets, etc.) and quantitative data (revenue, market share, forecasts).
  • Ability to organize and analyze data from basic quantitative project, synthesize and identify trends.
  • Ability to develop and articulate compelling research recommendations & strategies.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and forecast the market activity.
  • Conduct research as necessary, including market surveys of vendors and users as well as secondary research.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, science, engineering or any relevant field.

Qualifications:
